How to Prepare:
YIELDS 3.5 CUPS OF COOKED RICE
- In a medium sauce pan, bring to a boil 2 cups of water, 2 Tablespoons of butter or margarine and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Add 1 cup of rice, reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let stand, covered, until water is absorbed.
- Fluff with fork and season to taste.
For firmer rice: reduce water by 1/4 cup.
To retain vitamins: Do not rinse before or drain after cooking.
